What should I bring to my appointment?

If you have a private health fund, please bring your physical health fund card with you so we can swipe it on our Hicaps machine.

If you have a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan from your General Practitioner please bring your physical Medicare card with you so we can swipe it on our hicaps machine.

Wear footwear and socks that can easily be removed.

Ideally, wear clothes you are comfortable in as you will be seated for the majority of your appointment. Depending on your appointment we may ask you to walk or run on a treadmill. For this we advise pants or leggings that can be rolled up slightly.

If you are coming in for a musculoskeletal appointment it is always a good idea to bring your sports shoes and/ or work shoes.

Where are you located exactly?

Although our address is technically unit 9, 48 Blackwood Street we are more precisely located on the corner of Grovely Terrace and Blackwood street, next to The Grove Coffee shop.

Do you have parking?

Yes! Plenty of it too. There is a dedicated Podiatry Beyond parking bay, however if this is taken there is ample parking lots in front and behind the clinic, in addition to loads of free street parking. Parking should never be a problem.

Can I use my private health fund?

Of course! We have a Hicaps machine on site that conveniently allows us to swipe your private health fund card for on the spot claiming.

What rebate can I expect from my health fund?

This answer is different for every patient as it largely depends on your level of private health insurance coverage. Our staff can always provide you with the correct health fund item codes and our service fees. With this information you may be able to contact your private health fund for accurate rebate details.

Do you perform nail surgeries?

Yes! If our podiatrists believe it is beneficial to perform a partial or total nail avulsion procedure to resolve ongoing ingrown toenail issues we offer this service at the clinic. Please note that an initial consultation is essential to proceed with nail surgery. If you require a quote for this procedure, our friendly reception team can provide this.

Do you do home visit/mobile podiatry?

There is currently limited availability for home visits, however we encourage you to call the clinic if this is a service you require . Home visit services incur an additional travelling fee. Please keep in mind that some services are limited to in-clinic patients due to logistics. We currently service the following suburbs: Mitchelton, Everton Park, McDowall, Red Hill, Ashgrove, Chermside, Arana Hills, Keperra, Ferny Grove, Samford and Upper Kedron.

Are you affiliated with a specific health fund?

We do not have a preferred private health fund association. We accept all health funds.

What is the duration of podiatry appointments?

This depends on the type of podiatry appointment you are booked in for. For initial appointments we generally recommend allowing anywhere between 50-60 minutes. For subsequent appointments we recommend allowing 30-45 minutes.

What can I expect during my appointment?

You can expect to see a podiatrist that is very passionate about your lower limb health. Our patient centred approach allows us to listen to your concerns and offer a tailored solution that suits your needs, lifestyle, and budget.

If you are booked in for a clinical podiatry appointment such as general nail and skin care, diabetic foot care, ingrown toenails, or fungal nail assessments then you can expect the podiatrist to take a very thorough patient history, assess and test your overall foot health, treat any nail or skin concerns, educate you regarding the findings and advise a long term treatment plan if required.

If you are booked in for a sports podiatry appointment that may require custom foot orthotics, padding, strapping or taping, footwear assessments and recommendations, children's foot care or dry needling then you can expect the podiatrist to take a very thorough patient history, assess and test your overall foot biomechanics using our gold standard gait analysis technology, treat any acute concerns, educate you regarding the findings and advise a long term treatment plan if required.

Who is my treating podiatrist?

We currently have two podiatrists servicing patients at Podiatry Beyond. Both Neda and Caitlin are very eager to treat your lower limbs and prioritise your foot health.

What price can I expect?

As we have a variety of appointment types and we want to provide accurate service costs, please call our clinic on 07 3709 7617 for pricing. We will always be transparent and precise regarding our pricing. We will also provide the correct health fund item codes for you to cross check with your private health fund.
